Cleaning Service Questions

Many home owners have concerns allowing a stranger to clean their homes, and deserve to know what to expect. Our cleaners are both bonded and insured; allowing you the peace of mind in knowing you are covered in case of any potential incident. Here are some of the house cleaning questions we get asked most often; please feel free to contact us by email or phone with any additional questions or concerns. 

1. How do I go about booking your cleaning service?

One of our team members will be happy to book an appointment with you over the phone; or you can fill out our online cleaning estimate and indicate how and when you would like us to respond to you. You can also email us with any questions (scheduling or otherwise) you may have, and we will respond within minutes to your inquiry. We value your privacy and will never share your information. 

2. Are your house cleaners and maids really college girls?

While many of our domestic housekeepers attend college on a part time basis such as nights and/or weekends; our maids are all experienced cleaners with a minimum of three years of cleaning experience. Our cleaners certainly are not your average 18 year old freshmen taking twelve hours per semester! They are bonded and insured professional cleaners with a minimum of three years home cleaning experience. We do give back to to the community at large by providing a portion of our proceeds to help those less fortunate attend college, hence our name.  

3. Do I need to be home when you clean?

This is entirely your choice. We recommend you are home to meet your housekeeper(s) for at least the initial cleaning to ensure we are a good fit for each other. We have no contracts, and your are free to stop scheduled cleanings at any time. We understand people lose jobs, there are layoffs, and life happens. After one or two cleanings, many of our clients leave or provide us with a house key, so we can clean while they are at work or attending to other responsibilities. Regardless if you are home, you will receive the same maid or maids for each and every scheduled home cleaning.

4. How long will it take to clean my house or apartment?

Unfortunately there is no one easy answer; this really depends on your home and how much cleaning is needed to leave it sparkling clean. Each home is different, and so are the cleaning requirements of the home owner. Need laundry done? Have multiple pets? Do you require a deep cleaning or a general cleaning? With questions such as these it is hard to provide an exact time frame. Contact us with your specific cleaning requirements or fill out our online cleaning estimate and we will respond with an estimated time frame for your house cleaning. 

5. How many maids should I expect will be cleaning my home?

Depending on the size of your house and type of cleaning selected you will have either one or two housekeepers cleaning your home. We understand you are busy; that is probably why you are using a cleaning service! You will receive the same quality of cleaning regardless of how many maids clean your home. We clean nights and weekends for those who require it; and we will do everything possible to accommodate any time constraints you may have. 

6. What is your guarantee policy?

We have cleaned thousands of homes and are assured you will be extremely satisfied with our initial cleaning service. If you do not like any aspect of your home cleaning we will come back to clean again… for free. If you are still not satisfied then we will give you a complete refund as long as contacted within 48 hours of the initial home cleaning. A lot of our business comes from referrals and we take great pride in that. With our bonded and insured cleaners and money back guarantee you have nothing to fear. 7. How do I go about payment for my cleaning?

Easy. You can either pay us by credit card when you first book a cleaning or you can pay in cash, check, or money order when our maids arrive at your home after the cleaning is complete. Please make any checks payable to College Girl Cleaning Service. We accept most major credit cards and our virtual terminal is 100% secure; in fact we are required to pass a comprehensive compliance test quarterly to ensure your information is fully protected. Remember, we will not charge your credit card until after our maids have finished cleaning your home.

8. Are your cleaners insured and bonded?

Yes! Our housekeepers and maids carry general liability insurance up to $1,000,000 per incident and are bonded up to $25,000. All our maids come with a minimum of three years residential cleaning experience, come with glowing references from past clients, and will never use abrasive of harsh chemicals to clean your home. We are very proud that to date we have never had to file a claim for damaged or stolen property in either of our locations since inception. You are safe with us!
